Pride before the Fall
I am not happy with my current six-game losing streak in “League of Legends.” I know I should have stopped after the first loss, but the drive to redeem myself got the best of me. Pride before the fall, after all. It is just not fun to lose 60+ Elo like that. I know I am a stronger player when I want to be, but the solo queue grind can be downright aggravating. It pushes your buttons to the point where you want to sulk in the corner for hours on end. It is one catastrophe after another, one lousy case of bad matchmaking or troll teammates.
But at the end of the day, the only one who can help me salvage my sense of dignity again is myself. I gotta push myself to become better.

Have you ever played WoW? I used to be a raider in that game. I remember how frustrated I’d get when the raid would wipe on a boss over and over. And we’d come back next week and try it again. And we’d do this every week until the boss was dead. And then if we didn’t have our core raiders, we’d have to pug someone and then explain the fight all over again if they didn’t know it. Anyway. After awhile, it just stopped being fun.

I haven’t played LOL in a couple weeks, I wonder how bad I’ve gotten…

I feel you. I sometimes get so demotivated by losing streaks that I don’t play for days. And yes that’s quite something.

Yeah, losses sting. Especially when Elo is involved. T_T

You read my post, and this is pretty much why I’ve decided to leave LoL. I spent almost 5 hours today trying to win one game! Just one! All I wanted is my one win of the day. But between the feeders and people leaving because of them, I really had to stop and ask myself why I still play this game. As it gets more popular, the more we’re seeing REALLY bad match making.
I like the new system honor system, but honestly, it’s not enough unless it affects matchmaking. Until it does, I’m out. Not going to waste my time having to deal with people who seem to be going out of their way to make the game unenjoyable for the rest of us.
Until then I’ll play Tekken Tag 2, at least with that I know if I lose it’s coz I suck, not because of some troll who has nothing better to do with their time.

It’s sad how I have to bank on not getting trolls in ranked games as well. It’s frustrating that the mode intended for serious play can be riddled with toxic/troll players. -_-
