Clawing My Way Back

For a long time, depression has pushed me over the edge. The various symptoms forced me to make a move, pressuring me to think outside the box for a solution.

And so, at my lowest point, I thought about the things in my life that continued to linger on despite the pain and misery. Two things in particular stood out: my school pride for Washington State University and my love for superheroes. This made me think about combining the two elements together to form something new, something innovative. And thus, this is how my comic book idea started to come together.

Fast forward a few months into the process, and I am finally at a point where an actual comic book issue can be made. The drawing in this blog post is a preliminary sketch done by Michael Hancock. As always, the final design is still pending, but it’s nonetheless exciting that this project has finally reached this stage in the game.

Soon, I can take my life into a completely different direction than what I envisioned one year ago as a college graduate. It’s interesting how life is so unpredictable at times.

Time to step forward … with unsheathed claws!
