Spreading the Story
I can’t be embarrassed about has happened to me. Depression is a serious symptom that no one should have to endure, but we live in a world where it’s far easier to fail than it is to succeed. This is a type of illness that eats away at your sense of self-respect, adversely affecting you until moments of happiness are harder to come by. You try to get through a normal day like you usually do, but then life’s cruel hand comes back to slap you across the face. It also doesn’t help that I constantly have “reminders” to add insult to injury when I should be getting additional support.
